Netanyahu is not my president

Listening to the changing storyline about why we went to war, it is becoming clear that it was Netanyahu who pushed Trump into this attack. After all, he had been dreaming of attacking Iran for decades.

Trump must have thought this was just another Venezuela: easy in and easy out.

They seem not to understand that there is not a single opposition group in Iran, but plenty of them. And while many oppose the supreme leadership, they are not necessarily in love with the USA or Israel.

This White House did not conduct the appropriate consultation with Congress before this attack, nor did it coordinate with our allies.

Iran cannot match the U.S. bomb for bomb, but there are other ways to fight, and we are soon to find out how diverse the response will be in the long term.

Those who are experts on Iran, who can guide us from the Shah period to the present, apparently were not consulted.

Now it seems that Trump is upset by the lack of support for this war from our allies, as they were when the USA was attacked on 9/11.

They don’t plan to send their soldiers to die for Trump.

Some suggest that our elected officials and cabinet members who push for this war should submit the names of 10 of their family members whom they would be willing to send to the front lines.

All of Trump’s children could be soldiers today. We have men and women of all ages in our military. Or perhaps all his children also have bone or brain spurs.

We hope that, since Trump is DEI-allergic, he will not send people of color, trans folks, women, LGBTQ+ people, poor white men, or differently abled people who will have to go to this war front.

Let Trump send ICE agents and all of his MAGA believers within the military to fight this war.

World governments have planted sleeper cells that could be activated at any moment.

Death and destruction are easily transported in small packages. You don’t need special drones, planes, or rockets in order to kill.

Some Iranians want Trump to be kidnapped, and that would be most difficult, but there are softer targets among his staff and their families. And we should be worried for them.

Those who, like me, practice and preach nonviolence march, sing, and pray that the killing will end soon.

But who, oh who, can be a mediator in this war and bring people to the table to seek a ceasefire?

Every journey of this war costs the USA a billion dollars a day. But it is actually more, given that the bombs used by Israel were gifts from our government.

The presidents of both countries are in line for harsh trials and perhaps strong legal actions by their judicial systems, and this war is nothing but a distraction.

The economy of the USA will suffer, and no matter how many bombs are thrown, there will still be the Trump-Epstein files.

Sometimes we must wait for karma and justice to come together in the same room, and we must continue to work for this day of reckoning.
