On June 5, 2025, JEVS Human Services celebrates its third annual “Grow with JEVS” event at the Crystal Tea Room, located in the historic Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia. The evening brought together supporters, partners, and community members for a night focused on connection, recognition, and impact.
The event provided guests with a welcoming atmosphere to learn more about JEVS’ mission: creating pathways to independence and economic security. Attendees enjoyed a variety of food and beverages throughout the evening while hearing from speakers who shared insights into the important work JEVS is doing across Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.
The program was hosted by Antionette Lee, JEVS’ Senior Public Relations Manager, and her former colleague Justin Udo of KYW Newsradio. Their dynamic presence set a warm and engaging tone for the evening.

Honoring Our Sponsors and Supporters
A special thank-you was extended to the event’s lead sponsor, Citizens. Dan Astolfi, Executive Vice President and Regional Executive for the Mid-Atlantic Middle Market at Citizens, shared a few words about the importance of supporting organizations like JEVS:
“As a business leader, I understand the vital role that education, job training, and employment services play in driving economic growth. The fact that JEVS supports more than 19,000 individuals each year with these services is simply extraordinary.
This far-reaching impact underscores how essential JEVS’ work is not only for individuals but for the regional economy as a whole.
Cynthia Figueroa, President and CEO of JEVS Human Services, expressed her deep gratitude to the sponsors for their generosity and ongoing support. She also emphasized the importance of these partnerships in advancing JEVS’ mission of creating pathways to independence and economic security for thousands across the region.

Figueroa highlighted that collaboration with committed companies and organizations enables JEVS to expand its services and reach more underserved communities.
Guests enjoyed memorable moments throughout the evening, including a surprise appearance by the Philadelphia Phillies’ official mascot, the Phillie Phanatic.
This year also marked the launch of the organization’s inaugural Ambassador Program, which honors individuals who are helping raise awareness and support for JEVS’ mission. These ambassadors representing a wide range of experiences across various departments and roles within the organization were formally recognized and welcomed.
JEVS Human Services is a leader in youth workforce development, serving 8,000 young people each summer through paid work experience. Last year alone, these efforts contributed $7.6 million back into Pennsylvania’s local economy.
