In the past, many of us have made what we call New Year’s resolutions, and many of these are forgotten and/or broken.
Now we have a chance to do more, and to do it better.
We will be challenged on many fronts: politically, economically, socially, personally, and perhaps morally. We must be prepared to meet these challenges, and at times it will be most difficult. At the same time, we should be willing to ask others for help and advice.
As the song says, “Lean on me…”
We know that there’s always tomorrow.
Lean on me
When you’re not strong
And I’ll be your friend
I’ll help you carry on…
There is no app on the computer or online that can solve these issues or direct you, but there are teachings and friends who can help you understand your situation. The future of our families, countries, and the world depends on us doing our part in the best way possible.
If you have someone who loves you and you have a spiritual side to your life, you can say:
I will survive
I’ve got all my life to live
And I’ve got all my love to give
I’ll survive
I will survive
Facing the future and all it holds is not about being better than others. Your position does not matter, but it is important for you to give the best version of yourself.
If we can all do this together, we can build the winds of change and, in the process, build a community of hope for everyone under the sun, moon, and rain.
Most of us will not receive public recognition or awards for our participation, but it is enough for each of us to know that, to the best of our abilities, we were part of something grander than anyone could imagine.
So let us all stand up and raise our voices, in whatever way we can, and join the millions who seek peace and justice.
Just be the best version of yourself!
